Description: Provides complete and balanced nutrition during the developmental stage of your fry's life. Rich in highly nutritious, freshly-harvested ingredients including premium select fish meal which provides a superior protein source. Helps your newborns develop excellent body form, superior disease resistance, and proper organ development. Promotes proper feeding habits, long-term health, and superior resistance to disease. Semi-floating food allows fry at all levels of the aquarium ready access to the food without reducing food loss caused by over-feeding. Unique low-heat production process prevents dissipation of the necessary nutrients your fry need to survive and thrive. For livebearers and egglayers. FeedingFor optimum results, feed daily as often as possible, the amount your fish will consume within two to three minutes. For mid-water and bottom feeders allow Hikari First Bites to soak in a cup of aquarium water before feeding. This will cause the food to sink more rapidly allowing these fry better access. Livebearers (ovoviviparous) can consume Hikari First Bites right after birth. Egg layers (oviparous) utilize their yolk sack for nutrition right after birth. Start feeding Hikari First Bites right before the yolk sack is fully consumed. Care should be taken to avoid over-feeding. Excess food can cause water quality problems which may result in heightened stress or serious illness.
