Description: As strict herbivores, chinchillas require a diet high in fiber to maintain a healthy digestive system. Chinchilla Deluxe uses farm-fresh alfalfa hay to provide the necessary fiber content for maintaining intestinal health and preventing digestive upset. Feed Chinchilla Deluxe free-choice to animals younger than one year of age. Supplement daily with a combination of free-choice grass hay and alfalfa. Chinchillas older than one year of age should be fed 1/8 - 1/4 cup Chinchilla Deluxe and free-choice grass hay. Alfalfa hay should only be fed as an occasional treat to adults.
